Tuesday, 26 September, 2000, 16:01 GMT 17:01 UK 2 hung in Kabul The Taleban authorities in Afghanistan have hanged two men convicted of involvement in a number of bomb blasts in the capital, Kabul. Fifteen thousand people gathered to watch the executions take place in a sports stadium. The bodies were then strung up in a square in central Kabul, where two other men were hanged on similar convictions on Saturday. The Taleban has said the men were paid by its opponents to carry out the bombings. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service
