Taleban hang three Afghans for offences in Mazar-i-Sharif

Three Taleban soldiers have been executed for crimes committed after the Taleban captured the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif two months ago.

Taleban radio said they were hanged for sexual offences, extortion and abusing the name of the Taleban.

The international human rights group, Amnesty, has said that thousands of Shi'ite Hazaras were massacred by Taleban fighters after they took the city from the opposition.

Iran says they also killed eight of its diplomats and a journalist at its consulate in the city.
